Christmas gift for a dear friend? Nailed it!
(Also, every time I work with metallic thread I swear it will be the last, and then I forget how much of a fucker it is to work with, decide something needs metallic accents, and the cycle starts again. There is a reason the back of this is covered in fabric.)
finally got around to stitching this for my friend (im the person who originally requested the pattern btw) this is the first time ive worked with variegated thread and i think ill never stitch without it again because wow is it gorgeous
Since this was for a charity which support transgender children, I thought I would do the border in the trans flag, the non-binary flag and a rainbow gradient…which overcomplicated it massively and meant it took over a month to complete 😅 I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, thank you for the pattern!

It’s finished!!
I used DMC 4541 for the border and ‘threat,‘ DMC 930, 3768, 3750, 807, 3841, 3834, 3835, 3836, 961, 962, 818, and two unmarked colors from a grab bag for the crystals and other text. Trying to match the colors in the variegated floss was difficult but turned out well enough, I think. XP

Finished my first cross stitch a month ago. Only have an in progress shot until it gets framed. The verigated thread looks great! And I made the shiny thread for the border way more manageable by doing one shiny and one verigated thread.

WIP Wednesday for once! Finished the lettering and started the borders today. To say I’m proud and excited would be an understatement!
I took one look at @shitpostsampler’s Untitled Goose Game pattern and said “that needs getting done, like, immediately,” and I had a fat quarter of 14ct oatmeal lying around, so I figured, why not put it to good use?
Should have it done by this time next week! ✌️

My favorite type of characters are “they’re not dumb but they are a dumbass”
Characters with enough intellect and common sense to clearly and easily grasp that something is a Bad Idea, but with enough chaotic dumbass energy to decide they gotta just go ahead with it anyway are on point.
Spencer is the perfect example. He dropped out of law school, yeah, but he still got the fuck in.
And he retained enough to win a case against corporate lawyers after only being in law school for 3 days.
He also bought an ostrich on the request of a magic 8 ball.
